@aspensmonster that’s what i hoped would come from this policy and debate, not so much the policy itself but helping encourage that culture of debate and democracy around something like this which has a lot of strong opinions from tech workers so we didn’t just adopt it from “on high” but truly represents our members opinions at this point in time

on the tiebreaking vote: i also voted against and a really important aspect of democracy is the right of a minority faction to feel they not just were heard with a losing vote, but, that they also walk away feeling like their opinion can some day become that of the majorities. if you have that hope, i think we did our job!
